The Best Day And Time Of Day To Email Your List Of Subscribers

Warning: A non-numeric value encountered in /var/www/vhosts/incomemachine.com/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/paper-template/papertemplate.php(15) : eval()'d code(3) : eval()'d code on line 392

One of the most common questions I hear when people are building a list and using their list to market their offers to the subscribers is what day of the week is best to mail and what time during the day is best? What's funny is that this is mostly superstitious marketing and we'll find out why in a minute.

The reason why it's superstitious is because it doesn't make sense and anyone who has an opinion is simply guessing. You might hear someone say that the best time of day to mail is Monday morning at 8 o'clock AM. But someone else might say, "That doesn't make sense because people are just starting the week." So everyone tries to mail at Tuesday at noon. But if that was the best time of day to mail then why is every single marketer mailing at that time and now there's too much competition.

It doesn't really make sense to claim that you should only email on a certain day of the week because this is just one more excuse not to email today. The best day to email is today. I have emailed on weekdays and on weekends and I just get access to different types of people on my list. Some people only check their email on weekends when they're not at their day jobs. Some people only check their emails at night or in the morning. What's more important than emailing on a certain day is to email multiple days so that we can be sure that most of our list has seen our offer.

One thing that I do like to do however, is to email early in the morning where most of my subscribers are – a large portion of my subscribers are in the United States so I make sure that my emails are sent out fairly early in the morning. That way, the majority of my list will see those messages the very first thing when they come on their computer.

You can try mailing on different days or different times of the day but what matter is more than anything else is that you send messages in the first place. Instead of worrying about mailing to your list on Monday only, on Wednesday only or Friday only, mail your list every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and you will capture many more visitors and readers than you would by focusing on one single day.

Let's figure out how you can schedule enough messages in your autoresponder that it doesn't matter what day of the week you send your messages at www.newbiecrusher.com.

Pitch Offers And Deliver Content In Your Email Messages

Warning: A non-numeric value encountered in /var/www/vhosts/incomemachine.com/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/paper-template/papertemplate.php(15) : eval()'d code(3) : eval()'d code on line 392

You're building a list of email opt-in subscribers but those subscribers don't do you any good unless you broadcast emails out to them. When you do those broadcasts, there are basically two kinds of messages you can send. One's to promote an offer for people to buy and ones that don't. In other words, you can either pitch an offer or you can give away free content. How much pitch and how much content should you have in your emails?

It's very simple, just start with the content email and pitch at the end. That way, if someone is not interested in your offer but might be in the future, if someone has already taken you up on your offer and purchased, they can still get something out of that email, they just don't click on the link. Likewise, if they have not bought from you or they have not purchased this particular offer yet, they can read that same piece of content and understand why the pitch is important and click on it already pre-sold for what you are offering.

The only tricky part is transitioning from the free to the paid and many people get nervous and chicken out. But if you think of it instead of as content and pitch as why you need this into here it is, it becomes easier. If you're promoting a course on how to design a webpage, your content might explain the alternatives to making your own webpage. You can hire it out, you can buy an existing template and your content is listing all the alternatives or all the different ways to go about it. But then you should transition and say, "Here are all the bad ways to do it but the best way, the perfect way, my way is to buy this training course on how to design your own webpage. That way you pay one time, you can use it over and over again and the webpage comes out exactly the way you want it."

When it comes to email marketing, the thing you have to remember is that you're automatically better than most other email marketers because you are the one who sticks around. You are the one who sends them messages and follows up when everyone else forgets about it. Just by sending emails to your subscribers on a regular basis and building that relationship will increase your click through rate to the web pages and your conversion rate to those order buttons.

Let's work together and schedule all of the pre-sale and post sale emails you need into your autoresponder at www.newbiecrusher.com.

You Are Allowed To Promote The Same Offer With Your Email Marketing!

Warning: A non-numeric value encountered in /var/www/vhosts/incomemachine.com/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/paper-template/papertemplate.php(15) : eval()'d code(3) : eval()'d code on line 392

When I first got started with email marketing, building a list and sending offers to my subscribers, I was always worried about sending the same URL two days in a row. I would think I had to send them to a certain site on Monday, a different site on Tuesday and even a third site on Wednesday. But as we're going to explore today, it's actually a disservice to send different offers.

An offer that's right for your subscribers six months ago might be better for them now and it actually does take you seven follow-ups to make a sale. It is very confusing for your subscribers to get sent in one direction on Monday, a different one of Tuesday and a different direction on Wednesday. It's better if you choose what you will be promoting this week and every message you send this week sends people to the same address but gives them a different reason or different benefit to going to that website.

This works for any website not just a sales letter or an affiliate offer but even for blog post. What if you had a blog post and every day of the week you thought of a different reason for people to click? Maybe your blog post explored three different topics, three different points and the first email was about the entire blog post, the next email about the first point in the blog post and so on and even after you get comments from your visitors under your blog post you can send more emails saying, "This person left a comment under my post. What do you think of that?"

Next, your subscribers might see your offer in January and decide it's not right for them but it is in June because their business is at that point. If you're offering a course on how to design a webpage, your customers might not have a webpage in January but they do in June and if you had not promoted the same offer months later they might have forgotten about you. There are many, many people on your subscriber list, in your niche and people who want to buy from you and hear from you who at a certain point in their business and six months from now they'll be in a different point and that's all the more reason to re-promote your own offers to them later.

Finally, you might have heard over and over again many marketers saying that it takes seven follow-ups to make a sale. That means that someone needs to see your message seven times just to buy from you. They might see your webpage when they first hear about you but they want to go and research your competitors. They check out your webpage again if they decide then they can save up money to buy. They completely forget about you, they check again and the timing is not right and maybe several emails on the line, maybe several weeks or months later they are finally ready to buy. You saved that lost sale because you have them on your email subscriber list.

That's why it's okay to promote the same offer because you can deliver a consistent message because your subscribers might not have been ready for your offer several months ago but they are ready now and you need to make all those extra follow-ups to make a sale because your subscribers might have many reasons for not buying. I want to help you launch, re-launch and re re-launch your product using your email autoresponder system at www.newbiecrusher.com.

You Can Send The Same Message More Than Once In Your Email Autoresponder To Your Subscribers

Warning: A non-numeric value encountered in /var/www/vhosts/incomemachine.com/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/paper-template/papertemplate.php(15) : eval()'d code(3) : eval()'d code on line 392

When you are trying to email your subscribers daily or weekly or at least on some consistent basis, you might start to run out of things to say even if you only have so many tips or so many offers to mail out to them. That's why it is okay to say the same thing and to promote the same URL multiple times in different email messages. You can send a reminder or follow-up, you can say the same thing but in a different way and even give them another reason to click or buy.

I have promoted the same offer for 45 days straight to my subscribers, no one complained, very few people unsubscribed and most importantly, there were consistent sales for all 45 days. That's because I was consistent about my message. If you promote one URL one day in a different offer and address the next day, it's not clear what you want people to do.

But many of your subscribers might have read one of your email messages and forgotten to click on your link or clicked on your link and forgot to buy. So there's nothing wrong with saying, "Did you see this address yesterday?" and then give them the link or say, "Did you see this email message I sent yesterday?" and copy and paste the same message from yesterday to your subscribers today. There's a reason why your autoresponder has what's called a "follow-up sequence" so you can follow-up with your subscribers.

You can say the same thing in many different ways. For example, let's say you were telling people what they need to have on a website. They need to have a website design, website content and an opt-in form – you list those three things. But tomorrow you might say the same thing but in a different way. You might say, "Here are the top three mistakes that are made on a webpage. Having a bad design – here are examples of that, not having enough content – here are examples of that, and not having an opt-in form and here are different things you might have in place of an opt-in form," and have your link underneath that message. But you said pretty much the same thing but in a slightly different way now listing it as a do's and don'ts type of list instead of a step-by-step list.

Finally, we can have an email message giving people one more reason to click or buy. You might have a course about how to design a webpage and you list all these great reasons to buy but tomorrow you remember that people could also take your course and join some freelancing jobs and quickly make their money back from your course. You can say, "By the way, yesterday I forgot to tell you here is yet one more reason you could buy this course." Remember with email messages you want to have short and to the point messages preferably less than a page if not half a page so it's okay to send lots of short messages over the course of a few weeks.

It's okay to send emails that deliver the same message. You can send a reminder, you send the same thing in different way or give people another reason to click and buy. Let's schedule your entire email autoresponder follow-up sequence in one sitting at www.newbiecrusher.com.

How Often To Mail Your Email Subscriber List?

Warning: A non-numeric value encountered in /var/www/vhosts/incomemachine.com/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/paper-template/papertemplate.php(15) : eval()'d code(3) : eval()'d code on line 392

Many people put a lot of effort into having an opt-in page, making a list and getting traffic to that list so that you can gather new volunteer email subscribers who will then read your messages and click on whatever links you send in those messages. Obviously, you want to have fans and you want to have people on your list who will go to your latest blog post, your latest affiliate link, your latest forum post or you later sales letter but how often should you mail? How often is too much? Is it possible to not mail often enough?

You should email your list at least once a week if not every day. I know that asking you out of the gate to email your subscribers every single day is a lot to ask which is why once a week is a good place to start until you get used to sending short and to the point messages and you make it a daily habit or routine to contact these subscribers. It's okay to email your subscribers every single day because you're giving them good information which leads me to the next common issue of "Should I send content emails or should I send pitch emails? Should I share lots of free tips or should I give them links on what to buy?"

The answer is both, you just emails that are a blend of content and pitch. You share with them a tip and then you explain how they can use that tip by buying this course. You solve one of their problems and say, "Now that this problem has been solved, the next step is to click on this link and buy this thing." Your email is not 100% content but they are also not 100% pitch. Note that I said, not 100% content. That means that every one of your emails should lead to something.

You should have a call to action underneath this short message you're sending. A call to action is just "Here is what to do after you read the email." That might be, "Be on the lookout for my email tomorrow." It might be, "Click on this link and read and comment on my blog post." It might be, "Reply to this message," or it might be, "Click on this link, go to this webpage and buy." But make sure that your email messages don't just leave your subscribers hanging. There's a very clear step to take after they are finished reading.

Mail your list weekly, if not daily, blend your content and your pitch and be sure to send a short message with a call to action. If you go to www.newbiecrusher.com right now I will show you how to create your 7-day presale follow-up sequence for your email subscribers along with your 28-day post sale sequence so go ahead and click right now.

What Email Message To Send To Your Opt-in Subscribers Immediately After They Sign Up?

Warning: A non-numeric value encountered in /var/www/vhosts/incomemachine.com/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/paper-template/papertemplate.php(15) : eval()'d code(3) : eval()'d code on line 392

Great, you have an opt-in page with an opt-in form and you have at least one person who has come to that page, typed in their name and email address and joined your email subscriber list. But now the question is what message should you be sending to that subscriber right after they sign up?

I told you before that you need to offer a free gift as soon as someone joins your email list. So you have a five-page PDF or five-minute video that you are offering in exchange for their sign up which means that even if they signed up and you sent them to a web page where they were able to get at that gift you still should send them an email message immediately giving them a way back to that download page because we have all signed up for things online at work or at home or on our phones or at a different computer and forgot where the download page was.

At the same time it helps to send that introductory email so they are used to getting messages from you and start to recognize your name. And on that note you will also want to provide an introduction about yourself. Tell them what niche you're in, what got you started. Write one simple three or four sentence paragraph saying who you are and why you created that gift.

Finally, add one extra sentence explaining how often you will email them and what kind of things you will be telling them about. Will you be offering free tips, blog post, offers – whatever it is, it always helps to establish upfront how often and what kind of email messages they'll be receiving from you. That way, they get exactly what they sign up for.

When your subscribers sign up, you should immediately give them a free gift and have your first email tell them where that free gift is located even if they were already redirected after sign up. Explain who you are in a couple of sentences and establish how often you will be emailing them and what kind of things you will mail them. Set up your opt-in page and email autoresponder sequence at www.newbiecrusher.com.

Broadcast, Scheduled Broadcast And Follow-ups In Your Email Autoresponder System

Warning: A non-numeric value encountered in /var/www/vhosts/incomemachine.com/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/paper-template/papertemplate.php(15) : eval()'d code(3) : eval()'d code on line 392

I don't want you to get confused about the terminology or the language used with email marketing or with autoresponders. When you're marketing over email that means that people came to your site, filled in their name and email address into your form and now they have joined your list or become subscribers to your list and now it's time to send messages to those subscribers in one way or another. There are different ways you can send those messages and those are pretty much broadcast, scheduled broadcast and follow-ups.

A broadcast is very simple. Let's say that over the last few weeks you have been able to get 100 different people to type in their first name and their email address and become subscribers of your list. That means there are 100 people that you could contact right now. You have permission from all 100 of them. With a broadcast, you can log in to your autoresponder service such as Aweber and type in a subject line, type in a message, maybe include a link for them to click on at the bottom, click on the "send" button and now the email has been sent to all 100 subscribers on your list – very simple. Anyone of your list gets the message, they all get it right away and that's it.

But you can also schedule these broadcasts. Let's say you want to send a certain message on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this particular week. You don't have to wake up early in the morning this coming Tuesday to write an email or on Wednesday or Thursday or Friday. You can schedule this broadcast for a specific date. So you can broadcast something today but you can also schedule a broadcast to be sent out tomorrow which means that tomorrow you can sleep in or go on vacation and whatever message you schedule to be sent out tomorrow will be sent on a timer.

This is a lot of fun for me because I can schedule the rest of the entire week or schedule one single message to be sent out once per week for the rest of the month or even for the rest of the year. The whole time I don't have to touch any of these scheduled broadcasts and my subscribers have no idea if I just now hit "send" or if I scheduled a particular message weeks or even months ago.

Finally, there are follow-ups. When we talked about broadcast and scheduled broadcast, we're talking about sending a message on a specific date like on January 1st or June 15th. But a follow-up means that we want to send a particular subscriber a certain message based on how long they have been a member or a subscriber of our list. We can say that, "I want to send this exact message exactly five days after someone has joined my list." That means that on a given day only ten people might be given that message because 10 people are at the day five sequence.

This is really powerful tool in autoresponders because you can have the same build-up or the same step-by-step sequence for people who have just joined your list, the same as the people who joined your list six months ago. It just depends on how long someone has been on your list. They can get day one, day two, day three but then a year from now someone else can join your and get the same day one, day two, day three and those two subscribers don't know about each other.

Broadcasts are where you send email right now to your subscribers, a scheduled broadcast might be you schedule a broadcast to be sent this coming Tuesday and a follow-up message is where you can say, "Send this exact email message to someone exactly five days after they have signed up to my list."

I want you to join this website right now and setup your broadcast and follow-ups in your autoresponder: www.newbiecrusher.com.
